BILLION-DOLLAR DEBUT
Yep, that was the price tag for building Texas Live!, the massive new dining and entertainment complex opening this month midway between the Texas Rangers' Globe Life Park and the Dallas Cowboys' AT&T Stadium. Enjoy live music on the Arlington Backyard stage, tasty vittles at the Lockhart Smokehouse and much more. Coming next year is a new 300-plus room hotel and event space.
ARTFUL ARENA
It's not just a sports arena: AT&T Stadium is also an art museum in its own right. Take groups on a guided tour of works by contemporary masters like Franz Ackermann (pictured).
FROM TEXAS WITH TASTE
Tucked into the Sanford House Inn & Conference Center, Restaurant506 serves "inspired American" cuisine from executive chef John Klein and chef de cuisine David Pacheco in a delightfully eclectic setting. Try the Honey Barbeque "Wild Isles" Salmon with green onion and cilantro basmati rice, and experience Texas-size satisfaction.
THE ROARING TWENTIES were in full swing when Top O' Hill Terrace opened its tea garden, casino and brothel (complete with escape tunnel). Today you can wander the beautifully tailored grounds and vintage buildings, and still enjoy a wanton romp in the... tea garden!
